*On the Emefiele Saga*
_______@@@#@________
There are 4 Deputy Governors + about 25 Directors + over 50 Deputy Director on the staff of CBN.
All must be around 60 years of age: male and female ? From many ethnic nationalities and States across Nigeria.
How come no one could want out of the brazen misconduct? No one saw evil. No one heard evil?
They all stood akimbo or were all complicit???? To what end were all the lootings? They must be all Christians and / or Muslims??
What is happening to us in this society??? Who are we ??? Just because the air in the atmosphere is free, can one breath in more than the capacity of the lungs?
One needs cars, houses, and even women ? How much of these is enough? Can the lungs inhale more than its capacity, just because air is free ?? How much greed is in our genes?
Are we all mad ???? Is there something fundamentally amiss out of our DNA that we could all not discern good or evil?
What of the young officers that move files around in office corridors of CBN ?? No one could venture out in favour of what is good and proper ? How come?
Emefiele could not be confronted and stopped before doing so much damage? Is he therefore the problem ?
No. Emefiele is not the real problem. We all are. We worship powers that be. We lie flat thoughtlessly in and out of their sight.
Does Emefiele have wives??? Does he have children? Does he have family members ? Relations ? What were they thinking? What are they thinking now?
Everyone lacked common sense ? They don’t know what he has been doing? They all closed their eyes ? Or were blind or blinded?
Emefiele was thrown up by Jim Ovia. Whats up with his mentor? Implicitly Complicit ???
Everyone devoid of humanity ??? How come?? In this Nigeria? A forsaken country?
We don’t have a society then. We are not capable of discerning good or evil.
I pity Emefiele.
I sympathise with him. He is mad. But all around him are also pretentiously mad.
There was no one with any character to challenge and wrestle him to the ground. No one had the capacity to restrain him.
I pity Emefiele.
He was let down by all in his family. He was naked in a nude camp that Nigeria is and has been. That is it.
I weep not for Emefiele. He is sick. He is alive. He is dead.
Buf I weep for his family. I weep for all of us. I weep for Nigeria.
We are all complicit in tiny and mighty ways.
