It has been long since last I wrote about the devastating political situation the good people of the subject constituency battles from due to the nonchalant attitude and erroneous/misleading representation by their representative at the green chamber in the person of Hajia Fatsuma Talba.

I decided keeping silent over her deficiencies because I thought she would change for good after berating her severally but to my utmost shock and surprise, the opposite is the case.

It is sad and unfortunate seeing how Hajia abandoned her people immediately after succeeding in her mission. But to those of us from the opposition, we saw it coming.

Since the start of campaigns prior to the past election, the APC knew that they made the most horrible mistake by anointing Hon.Talba as the party’s flag bearer for the seat she occupies but out of their political evil plot, they were never discouraged that she wouldn’t succeed for the fact that they have been rigging the election outcome in their favor for nearly two decades.

It is now nearly a year since she assumed office but as I write this article, she is yet to present a single motion on the floor of the House of Representatives.

She has not been able to pass a single bill as a member of the House and neither has she stood up to speak for her people, her constituents have faced myriad challenges that required her action and support but she turned deaf ears to their concerns, demands and pleas.

Her main opponent from the PDP, Engr Abubakar Adamu Waziri whose mandate was stolen and hijacked in her favor has so far rendered helping hands more than she does as the sitting member of the house of reps.

This same person has drilled over 20 solar boreholes in most of the rural areas within the Nangere and Potiskum axis, he has also empowered numerous people with grinding machines, clippers and generators to mention but few with some amount of money as capital to startup business after undergoing trainings on various skills all from his personal treasury.

Many of her counterparts have brought huge number of developmental projects to their constituencies through their offices, but nothing, absolutely nothing of that sort reached her constituents so far by her through the office she holds.

At this moment, the level of her constituents dissatisfaction on her weak and unprofessional leadership has reached the highest level, making us wonder whether she truly has the interest of the people at heart.

It is obvious that she is totally not ready to contribute in ensuring the welfare and wellbeing of the same people that gave her all they could within their means when she needed them the most.

As a longtime politician with huge experiences on legislative affairs and management we expect to get the best from her leadership and representation but sadly she has proven to us that the hopes we have in her are not in anyway turning into reality.

As time goes by, Hajia truly and urgently needs to have a rethink and make changes where necessary in her leadership method so she doesn’t fall into the category of the worst members we had, the likes of her predecessor.

As true compatriots, we won’t fold our arms and watch her treat us with disdain by any means, as a matter of necessity, she must stand up and do what she is voted for, otherwise, we shall write and keep all of her failures in a safe place for her to read whenever she comes back to demand for our support and votes with her usual fake promises.

Finally, Hajia should put this at the back of her mind that nobody takes that which belongs to the good people of our constituency and go scot free politically.

The time is now or never, you must deliver on your primary assignment and failure to do so, you are to blame no one in few years to come but yourself for messing things up due to your avaricious interest and hidden motives.

It is either you deliver a good representation or get prepared to face the consequences in no distant time.
