EDITORIAL – Renewable Energy’s False Comfort for NIGERIA
While they are busy fooling with Renewable energy as a great solution, just know this:
1. It cannot power industries
2. It Cannot power ships
3. It cannot power trains
4. It cannot power factories
5. It cannot run assembly plants
6. It cannot power data centers
7. It cannot power the Internet network reliably
8. It cannot power mobile networks reliably
9. It cannot power bank networks reliably
They all need dedicated power with layers of backup upon backup systems.
If we are a serious nation, we will build the strongest fossil fuel power plants and a few Nuclear power plants!
Yes – Nuclear plants.
Developed Nations are deliberately misleading us to move to renewable energy when they are enjoying the most reliable energy produced by Nuclear plants.
Our banks and phones have become perpetually unreliable because we depend primarily on wireless network. We didn’t bother to build wired networks – which will provide the most reliability.
Most of the developed world have maintained their wired networks, as the backbone upon which all of their communication networks use without interruptions!
Now we want to commit the same sin. Instead of master the technology of energy and power generation, we are busy investing in renewable energy as a solution to our incompetence!!
What a country.
Someday there will be rains, and dust, and clouds, and waves of many frequencies, that will come from world conflicts that will put us all in the dark.
Somehow we never plan against anything!
We are just “kara zube! In ji Hausawa.”
We must sit up!!
