CIVIL DEFENCE: Audi’s Extension.- SOS to Mr. President
Audi’s Extension: SOS to Mr. President
Dear President, let me assure you that I am among the many who admire your integrity, patience and honesty.
Sir, it is no longer news that NSCDC CG Audi’s tenure is lapsing in just about a week or so, hence, he’s running helter-skelter desperately seeking for an undeserved extension.
The CG, notoriously known for his subterfuge, fake promises, incompetency, dishonesty, corruption, lies and betrayal, is hell bent on getting a years extension; with little or nothing to show in his initial 5 years in office.
Sir, It’s on record that he’s going to leave the Corps, worse than he met it by every indices. CG Audi has sadly, personalised and commercialised the Corps to a money making venture, with no regard for professionalism and ethical standards. Officers entitlements are denied to them. He does not pay course allowance, DTAs, election allowance, 28 days etc.
Sir, It’s noteworthy that he’s probably the only appointed official from the Buhari era who survives this administration out of all the appointed security heads, and sadly, he’s the worst in terms of performance and record.
We are calling on Mr President to quickly intervene and shelve any attempt to extend Audi’s tenure, even for a second, let alone 2 years. Officers and men are frustrated. His performance in terms of welfare, training, infrastructure and policies were dismal. He’s probably the most corrupt head of security in Nigeria’s history. The man is so mean that he extorts even the most junior officer. His wives and other family members influence postings of commandants in return for gratification.
Sir, extending Audi’s tenure will surely kill the morale of all the officers and men of the Corps which will have negative consequences to National security.
There are competent officers from and within the Corps with the capacity to turn things around. Whosoever is behind Audi’s extension moves, doesn’t mean well for the hard-working and dedicated officers and men of the Corps.
Please sir, do something before Audi completely destroys this Corps.
I wish you success in the forthcoming elections.
