Goodwill Message to Yobe’s Gov. Mai Mala Buni
You Excellency…
I wish to join millions of Yobe citizens in congratulating you ahead of your second inaugural tomorrow! You are indeed the right person to lead our state into a new Era of Renewed Hope, and a Yobe of Growth and unparalleled development.
A second term is a period, unencumbered by campaigns, of bold and dynamic leadership that will translate into a exemplary legacy for you, unmatched by any previous occupant of your seat.
It is also satisfying to note that you have already taken steps to retool and reinvigorate your administration with the best ideas, people, and systems that will help your government pull Yobeans out of penury and illiteracy. This task will not be easy, but your doggedness will see you through Insha Allah.
You are aware by now that our local politics is very toxic, and you are by far the most capable leader to change/remove this toxic landscape forever.
Your Excellency, I wish to report to you that the expectation for your success is unquestioned by all of our citizens, and their support for you is unflinching.
Your Excellency, please permit me to mention two areas I feel can help you change Yobe forever; 1. Education, 2. Natural resources.
Education must take center stage in your government. Investments in education must be doubled, and tripled, and sustained, for us to the see benefits in the near future. No immediate benefit for you of course but the future of Yobe will owe a debt of gratitude to your efforts, if you make education a cardinal pillar of your government.
As for natural resources, Yobe sits on wealth that can change lives and raise our standard of living, by making every citizen of Yobe a participant in a vibrant economy. Investments in this area will creat the greatest number of employment and provide the largest revenue base, for a self sufficient Yobe!
I am sure you are aware of these and many other pillars of development in our state, mine is just to remind you of the easiest and quickest paths to quick growth and development.
Tomorrow is new beginning for you and for us who depend on your leadership.
Please accept my hearty congratulations and prayers for your second term and indeed a milestone for all Yobeans.
May Almighty Allah guide you on your journey to build a great Yobe.
Yours truly.
Habu f Dauda MoiSoro.
