TY DANJUMA: TARABA STATE IN HIS POCKET BUT HE COULD NOT CLEANSE THE INSECURITIES TARABA !!!

Gen TY Danjuma born 09 12 1938 will be 86 in December 2024. He single-handedly installed Gen Olusegun Obasanjo PhD as the Head of State on Feb 13, 1976 after he had technically taken over following the abortive coup of Bukar Sukar Dimka who killed the action packed Head of State Gen Murtala Ramat Mohammed.

OBJ later compensated TY Danjuma in 1999 by making him the Minister of Defense up till 2003 before they parted ways. TY Danjuma would naturally get compensated in 1999 after he organised a fund raising for Baba OBJ’s presidential campaign where he was the highest donor of N120m. Big cowries at that time.

TY Danjuma is extremely rich bc he was gifted the best oil well in Nigeria. Abacha gave him. His Head Office South Atlantic Oil, was on Adeola Odekun Street VI, Not far from Mike Adenuga Golden Bull Building.

TY Danjuma single-handedly led the team that captured Enugu during the Civil War. The Biafrans almost retook Enugu but both sides lost a lot of soldiers, ammunition later failed the Biafrans and TY Danjuma overran them.

Unfortunately he will be remembered as the “butcher” of Ibadan who led soldiers to kill two innocent souls Ironsi and Fajuyi. This led to the installation of a nice man, Gen Yakubu Gown PhD. Gowon should have been a Priest, not a Soldier.

TY DANJUMA has installed all the Governors of his Taraba State, since 1999. He has installed all the Senators in his State. He once installed his wife as a Senator in her Edo State. If you see the woman’s mighty commercial building near the Ring Road Roundabout in Benin City, you will bow and stop gra gra of na we built Lagos. Look, you have nothing. Those who have don’t talk.

By the way, Taraba State is the most beautiful State in Nigeria when we talk of NATURE, have you been to Gembu????

There was a country !!!!

Lawal Adetayo explained:

His generation is a wasted generation!

I don’t envy a pinch of their financial success especially that of TY. Danjuma.

The quartet of Theophilus Danjuma, Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, and Sani Abacha represents a generation of leaders whose tenure was marked by unbridled self-aggrandizement, gross mismanagement, and a catastrophic lack of foresight. Their collective failure to harness Nigeria’s vast potential has left an indelible stain on the nation’s history, perpetuating a legacy of economic stagnation and unfulfilled promise.

Theophilus Danjuma’s insatiable pursuit of wealth and influence exemplifies the rapacious mentality that defined this era. His prioritization of personal gain over national development has had far-reaching consequences, entrenching a culture of corruption and cronyism that continues to suffocate the country.

Olusegun Obasanjo’s dual tenure as military and civilian President was a squandered opportunity for transformative leadership. Instead, his administration’s ineptitude and lack of vision perpetuated a culture of corruption, nepotism, and economic mismanagement, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake.

Ibrahim Babangida’s regime was a masterclass in economic malfeasance, marked by policies that exacerbated poverty, inequality, and social unrest. His ill-conceived “Structural Adjustment Program” proved a catastrophic folly, irreparably damaging Nigeria’s economic fabric.

Sani Abacha’s brutal and kleptocratic regime represents the nadir of Nigeria’s leadership crisis. His government’s wholesale embezzlement and misappropriation of funds meant for critical development projects have had a lasting, debilitating impact on the nation’s economic trajectory.

This coterie of leaders, rather than charting a course for Nigeria’s greatness, chose to indulge in a selfish and short-sighted agenda, condemning the nation to a perpetual cycle of underdevelopment and stagnation. Their legacy serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of unbridled ambition, ineptitude, and lack of vision.

May the likes of TY. Danjuma and his co-coupist never come our way again!!!!
