*2027 is Not a Fight between APC and the Opposition but between APC and the Seething Nigerian Masses

Buhari’s APC did not win 2015 elections because of the strength of the APC coalition against PDP.

No! PDP was a formidable political machine with unlimited quality resources in men & funds.

Buhari’s APC did not win 2015 elections because Buhari was popular.

No! Buhari, in spite of his popularity in the North had failed already in 3 previous attempts.

Buhari’s APC did not win 2015 elections because Tinubu was a master political strategists.

No! Because Tinubu had already failed twice in 2007 with Atiku & in 2011 with Ribadu.

Buhari & APC won 2015 elections because majority of Nigerians were already tired of PDP & their insane corruption that stagnated the country.

We will come back to this but let’s take just a paragraph to digress a little.

The Achilles heel of politicians all over the world especially Nigerian politicians is Hubris & tragic scorn for history.

Hubris refers to excessive pride or overconfidence, often leading to downfall.

Hubris is a character flaw, particularly in ancient Greek literature, where characters who defy the gods or nature through their pride are punished.

Today, hubris describes extreme self-belief that leads to failure or self-destruction.

Back to the topic.

Like the legendary ship – TITANIC, PDP was an unsinkable political machine or so it was thought. It was a formidable political machine heading unchallenged to rule Nigeria forever & thus, the party & its leaders ignored the boldly written hand writing on the wall.

And like the TITANIC, it sank unexpectedly catching everyone associated with it unprepared to the shock of the whole world.

PDP did not fall because of the strength of the opposition coalition, the political sagacity of the opposition leaders or the popularity of the opposition presidential candidate.

No!

PDP sank & probably never to rise again because it ignored the glaring warnings that Nigerians are tired of the party.

PDP thought it was a game of money, controlling institutions of government, controlling state governors, controlling INEC, the police & the army, destablizing oppositions, rigging with impunity & compromising our laws & judiciary.

PDP only realized too late that the war was not with the opposition but with the Nigerian masses who they neither paid any heed to their complains or believed they could buy their conscience & honour.

Tinubu, his son Seyi, Wike, Akpabio & all the governors shamelessly fawning at the feet of Tinubu, Tinubu’s mediocre yes men & kinsmen appointees, APC & all their arrogant delusional supporters grandstanding on victory in 2027 are once again setting themselves up on that same familiar path to destruction.

In their delusion & intoxicating hubris, they have not & will never figure that 2027 is not going to be about APC & the opposition parties. It will be about Tinubu’s APC & the Nigerian masses like it was in 2015.

APC has now earned for itself the tag of the most hated political party in the history of Nigeria because of the unprecedented suffering it has brought to Nigerians in the last 10 years.

PDP did not bring one quarter of the suffering, insane corruption & profligacy APC has wrought on Nigeria especially in this last 2 years of Tinubu’s administration.

Yet, Nigerians said enough was enough & threw PDP out inspite of the unprecedented logistics, unlimited funds, use of state power to hunt down & destabilize opposition which PDP deployed in the 2015 elections.

Tinubu has already gone down in history as the worst, most wicked, most arrogant tribalist & now the most hated president in the history of Nigeria. And every discerning mind in this country today know that continuing with Tinubu’s APC is a pact with perpetual suffering, hardship, unbridled corruption, state capture & a conquered citizenry.

Infact, none of Tinubu or APC’s supporters hiding behind their phones & flapping their mouth about Tinubu’s victory in 2027 can come out in their streets, work places, market or any public space to say what they say on social media without been publicly lynched & set ablaze by angry Nigerians.

As it stands today, the streets of Nigeria will go into wild jubilation on any news of Tinubu’s death (God forbid) or his overthrow by the military.

That’s how hated Tinubu & APC is in Nigeria right now.

Jonathan was never hated this much. Yet, Nigerians threw him & his PDP out because they have had enough of his nonsense.

The biggest mistake Tinubu, his confused APC, his corrupt cronies, his ignorant tribal kinsmen & his delusional supporters grandstanding on 2027 are making is this thinking that 2027 is a fight between them & the opposition.

No!

2027 is between Tinubu’s APC & seething Nigerian masses waiting to erupt like a volcano in 2027.

Nigerians are not a conquered people. And can never be a conquered people by any politician, president, political party or tribe. But unfortunately, Nigerian politicians have always taken the patience of the Nigerian masses for docility & ignorance. And they always learn the hard way that no force on earth can stop a people who want change.
